Owner Emphasis: Business Impact

This business has impacted us beyond belief, not only in our growth as people and knowing how to communicate with people, but also as a family. You know, we’re an anomaly from what I understand for family businesses. We’ve worked together for over 20 years now. We all have our roles. Everybody knows what they have to do and what their role is and none of the family fight with each other.

It’s really an amazing thing. We’ve got one son that is absolutely brilliant in knowing how the factory runs and is very much below the radar. We’ve got another son that’s just out there in front of the camera. He’s become the face of the company and that’s a good thing. My wife takes care of the office staff: making people happy, getting things in line, decorating, and making sure the showrooms look good. Then I just kind of take care of the rest of things.

I’ve got the fireman’s hat on and try to put fires out wherever they occur. But it’s really helped us grow and now we can start doing things in the community. As the business has built up, we’ve goten very involved in the community and giving back to this community.
