MY PIVOT: Frameless Swinging Shower Doors
One of the simplest doors in our repertoire, this style of shower enclosure is the epitome of what a frameless swinging glass shower door is. The brilliance of this door is the way that the glass and hinge system work synergistically, allowing the door to swing both inward and outward. This gives you the functionality and accessibility you need that the standard framed shower door does not allow.
Let’s begin by stating that our “MY Pivot” brand of shower doors is the most functional frameless shower door on the market. Utilizing our proprietary MY Pivot top and bottom hinges, these frameless glass shower doors swing inward and outward, and can be used in many different enclosure configurations.
In other words, they can stand alone as a Single Door, stand side-by-side to operate as French Doors or accompany any number of in-line or angled stationary glass panels for customization in any shower enclosure layout. We can also accommodate shower benches, half walls, vanities, or adjacent tubs by notching the stationary glass panels around them to provide a custom look.
Our proprietary MY Pivot hinges were developed by our internal Research and Development team with safety and longevity in mind.
They are designed to be used with either 3/8” (10mm) or 1/2” (12mm) thick tempered heavy glass with a unique pocketed gasket and the strongest spring and cam lock system available.
The top and bottom application of the MY Pivot hinge allows for up to 90% of the weight of the door to sit on the bottom hinge rather than the traditional wall mount hinge that pulls against the wall structure every time the door is used. Our My Pivot application also allows for a tighter gap against the wall and no visible wall-mounted screws when the door is closed.
The MY Pivot hinge is made of the highest-grade brass available with multiple finish options to match your needs. These finishes include polished chrome, brushed nickel, polished brass, polished nickel, oil rubbed bronze, vibrant brushed bronze, matte black, and more. We would also recommend adding our MY EZ Care Shield to protect your frameless shower enclosure from any permanent water spots.
We also offer many clarities of glass including MY Ultra-Clear “Low Iron” glass which showcases the lighter-toned tile that is becoming more and more popular on the walls of modern showers. MY Pivot frameless shower enclosures are very popular for both walk-in and tub showers configurations and can be customized to meet your needs.

Dual Action With Aesthetics
Typically, when entering the shower, you would pull the door toward you (outward swing). The swing radius allows an easy reach to the valve for pre-warming of the shower.
Above all, the inward swing is optimal to keep water within the shower as the water that has collected on the glass surface will drip in the shower as opposed to on the bathroom floor.
Aesthetically, the MY PIVOT hinge has NO VISIBLE MOUNTING SCREWS in view while the door is in the closed position. The top MY PIVOT hinge can be mounted to a variety of surfaces without the need to have additional studding added behind the walls. The top hinge can be mounted off a side wall, top soffit, from an adjacent glass panel, or to a horizontal headrail, when required.
Swinging Shower Door FAQs
Our swinging shower doors use a proprietary MY Pivot top and bottom hinge system.
Not only does our MY Pivot hinge allow for a tighter gap against the wall, but there are also no visible screws from outside the shower and 90% of the weight of the door sits on the bottom hinge that is mounted into the floor. This allows for a more free-flowing operation and the door isn’t pulling against the wall every time it is opened and closed.
Yes! The MY Pivot hinge system allows the door to swing inward and outward.
This is a very popular feature, especially for homeowners who are replacing an existing framed shower door that only opened out. The inswing is a great feature that allows any water that accumulates on the door to drain down the door and into the shower once you are finished showering.
Yes! Matte black is becoming a very popular finish in the frameless shower door industry. All of our frameless shower enclosures have matte black as a finish option.
